986 Boxster Question
OK, this is driving me nuts.
See twitter thread, here: https://twitter.com/BriannaWu/status...925122569?s=20 But am I wrong in thinking that the 986, like the 987, does not actually have pop-up roll bars? I checked the ETK and googled a bunch and they look to be a fixed hoop of metal. JV et al--am I missing something? |

I've always understood the Boxsters to have fixed rollbars. The SL had a pop-up bar, and other cars have ones that extend, but not the Boxsters.

I don't ever remember reading about 986 or 987 having any type of pop-up bar.
I do remember the SLs that had that -- so you could leave it down, and it would lock into an up position if the car started to roll...

Both the 986 and 987 have fixed roll bars.
