curb weight they quoted is sadly what I am expecting

Quote:
3540 lb
edit: guess that is close to the e46 weight 3480 but doesnt seem much lower then the e90 which I thought was mostly weighed in at the 36XX range

Lighter than e90 with 100ft#'s more torque and 25% better fuel efficiency. That's notable. Even more notable is that the 235 weighs more --and I bet the M2 will also.

No I agree. Gas mileage(somewhat the small tank) was my biggest complaint with my E90 M3.

Edit: Lack of torque, not so much. Makes you have to shift and be involved. Not that will not appreciate the extra 100ft#'s though at times.

Just betting is not going to be as light as everyone expects once we weigh our US high content version.

I don't know which E90 M3s Kacher has been driving, but I never really worried about breaking the rear end loose in third.

I think he is driving it in his dreams based on no one seems to have driven the F80 minus BMW [that is allowed to publicly disclose]

as Kacher insinuates that the E46 M3 will be a future classic, because of it represents the end of the line for the naturally aspirated straight six model, doesn't this mean that the V8 will be even MORE of a classic? it'll be more rare and probably command huge premiums in future years.

because it is a v8. it's simple.

nobody cares about fuel economy for collector cars (we only do when we actually ahve to use them daily)

It's ugly and awkward and doesn't drive that well, though. Also loaded with electronics that will be impossible.

Are you describing the F80 or the E90?
