That gen CX-5 is a 7k-12k vehicle, but I get your point.

It's a good choice. A climbing buddy has had one for about seven years and it's been bulletproof.

3 on my E46 wagon. At the most inopportune moments - in a snowstorm in Pennsylvania, 35 miles down a dusty dirt road in Death Valley, and I forget the third, so it probably wasn't as unpleasant.

I had four E46s and never lost a regulator. Did have the sunroof shade fail on one car.

Never had a window issue in any german car as far as I can remember. The one we kept the longest was the e39 to about 130k miles and about 14yrs from new.

I've replaced all four in my car: RR, LR, RF, LF in that order, if I remember correctly.

I could probably replace one blindfolded, LOL.

BTW, I got a chance to drive the CX-5. For a crossover with 120k miles, it drove NICELY: no squeaks, no rattles, tight handling, impressive acceleration (for a 4-banger) and great brakes.

I think he made a great choice....finally !!

Cool, hopefully it's a good car.

I'm genuinely surprised that I never had to do a window regulator on my red 330Ci. That car had an, um, interesting life before and during my ownership, all in fewer than 9,000 miles. Pretty much everything on it broke, but never a window regulator.

My parents bought a 1973 Mazda RX-3 Sport Wagon (only year sold in the US, I think) new and drove it for about three years. Two or three years after selling it, they got a letter from Mazda offering to reimburse them for all engine repairs because early rotaries made the RX-8 Renesis look amazingly durable. Everything on the car had broken and needed fixing at least twice. Except for the engine.

My parent’s first Toyota wagon was like that. Back in, what, 1970? And, to continue the thread, it lost multiple window regulators.
