What’s wrong with the interior? It just looks new to me.

The “my dash is an iPad” trend is the worst legacy (so far) of Tesla as a company. But converting the whole IC into a slab like that is just…ugh.

Not a huge fan of the rest of the interior, but that part is especially bad.

I have not been a fan of iDrive 8, but sitting behind it while driving, I had no complaints. It is still absolutely absurd that the heated seats and HVAC controls were moved into the touchscreen. Knobs and buttons have worked flawlessly for how long?

The interior fit and finish was great and this is where I tend to be exceptionally picky.

The Pillsbury doughboy steering wheel, the 90s video game gauges, and the wall of iPads are all a huge turn off.

I don’t particularly mind iDrive 8; it was probably the best part of the i7 I tried at CES (though that’s not saying much). I just don’t like the lack of integration on the screen.

Good thing you are not a new BMW buyer given that the entire model range has gone that direction. FYI, the steering wheel on this car was a port installed M Performance accessory.

Following this thread is educational. I honestly haven’t been keeping up with BMW interiors.

It looks like something nicer than what I’m accustomed to. Not sure if I would choose that interior, but honestly, when you’re driving, does it matter?
