Heck, my Miata is pretty damn awesome in the snow with snow tires.

(OT: this stupid cold blast sneaked up on me, so I had to get up early this AM and throw in the snow tires on the Miata. I love my lift. It took me under 20 minutes.)

OTH, this is quite nice:

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...ZRw9WcARBaNsps

7k-Mile 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4

Have not read deeply enough to understand why it's had 5 owners, though...

Don't those go for $90k or so, or have they come down? I suspect the new ones are pushing prices down.

Alan, Equ and whomever else can really help me with this, please, please, please help me better understand exactly what these options are. I have until mid-day Monday to figure this all out.

We (my wife has given a stamp of approval) are seriously considering the 911 'vert that I posted above at a pricepoint that is both reasonable and with how slow the auction is moving looking more and more realistic. I know you guys don't like it, but we do. I would like to understand more about the options, what they are, what they do, and their 'value' in the Porsche car world. Is there anything missing that you'd consider a 'must have'?

What exactly is Porsche Torque Vectoring?
EDIT: Is this just traction control, or does it add a mechanical LSD
What exactly does Sport Chrono add to a base Carrera?

I saw WDC mention Lane Change Assist as being useful in Alan's next car thread? is it a simple blind spot warning, or something else.
EDIT: Blind spot monitor

What is Power Steering Plus?
EDIT: Lightens steering at low speeds, seems like mixed reviews - anybody tried it, is it defeatable?

Premium Package Plus?
Edit: Heated / Ventilated Seats, Comfort Access, LED Headlights - seems like a really nice package

Along w/ the above, you guys have said before the 18 way seats are worth holding out for. I'm not too excited about the sport exhaust, but its there.

I obviously will be googling all of this as well, but you guys that have lived with/experienced some of this stuff I'd like your first hand impressions.
Edit: my googling added

Sport exhaust ... to me this is a must have option, I love it and wouldn’t want a Porsche without it ...

Power steering plus ... I never tried it but have no reason to not want it, in fact I welcome it on my next car, it seems from what I read it makes parking situations easier and in regular driving has no effect as it fades out in regular speeds (from what I read)

Premium package plus ... you would expect a car of this price to include these options otherwise you need a key to get in your car and start it

18 way power seats ... if you are on the slim side I would think they are great, My shoulders are on the board side and I don’t fit in them well, I seem to fit well in the 14 way power seats .. keep in mind this option really depends on your size and every one of us is different.

Ptv .. sorry I know nothing about this

Convertible ... don’t go by a couple of posts that a 911 shouldn’t be a convertible, that is bs ... a 911 or any car is what you want, there is a reason they make this car a cabriolet and I think actually looks better then the coupe.

Btw ...enjoy the sport exhaust ...I love the burbles and gurggles .. yes I can’t spell

As far as I understand, PTV = LSD. Sport Chrono adds launch control, and sport throttle settings on the 718. Also better sport/transmission mounts. We have Power steering plus, but I don’t drive the car much, or understand how it differs from regular steering. Equ has opinions about the 18-way seats versus the 14. We have the 14-way seats and they are fine.

The car sounds loaded and great. The car doesn’t seem to have any options that wouldn’t be great to have. The question would be if it’s missing anything critical?

Lane change assist = blind spot I believe. Does the premium package have heated steering and seats? Nav/car play?

Thanks to both of you.
It does have heated steering wheel as well as heated/ventilation seats

I think it has carplay as well, but I am andro

With a manual, sport chrono has no launch control, but I'm not planning on drag racing either.
