You can say that again. Just in time to get screwed by the SCCA.

I'm debating the WDCR season subscription - I would have liked to get it running before committing, but there's no way that's going to happen.

Cool, thanks for the heads up. I haven't even done any research yet to see what a good tire for the Maita is.

I've been "fine" with the current set which I believe was some kind of Federal, which I think is the house brand for the local Les Schwab tire center. They seem to have decent dry traction and they've done pretty good in the wet, though I can spin them easily enough if I'm not paying attention in 1st.

On my last Miata I ran Faulken Azenis and I liked those but I haven't bothered to see if they are still available or even if they've kept up with current tire trend and technologies.

I'll probably hit tirerack.com and see what the user reviews are, check out Miata.net, and then see if I can find a tire I like at Discount Tire and just order locally.

I've been pleased with the service and prices at Discount, too. All of them that I've done business with, in fact. Come to think of it, I think I've been buying my tires at one or another local Discount Tires here since 2003.

They have similar great customer service as the local Les Schwab chain but they offer greater tire selection. Or I should say, they have more competitive prices for non-house-brand tires. Les Schwab can get you the same tires but it costs a lot more.

That and there area a lot of Discount Tire locations around here, too, if I need to pop in for anything such as repairs, rotations, whatever.

I can't think of anyone else in the same boat.

Was never a RF member, but joined Bimmerfest.

I had my BMW since I took delivery of it in August 2002 when it only had 9 miles on the clock.
