That has been a disappointment...
The 'fuzzy' coating that is applied to some of the interior parts does not hold up well. For example, the area under the hand brake... When I go to grab the handle, sometimes my fingernails scrape or gouge into the console panel.
Also, the area around the window switches... same thing.
The AC controls does not hold up either - the black chucks away leaving the base color (or clear for the illumination).
This car has taught me to be more careful... more than I really want to be - but part of the way the car is, so - I have to adjust.

When I can - I'll get a pic or two showing what I am talking about.

I do like them... I also like the 'traditional' BMW gauges as well (as I have in the E38)....

I know exactly what you are talking about and seen a bunch of 997.1 with the same issue. Similar to my e46 interior bitch.

HAHA well dam!!

Yes and it is a really amazing car. I cant believe the sound that Merc gets from the forced induction V8. It pulls like a freight train.

I am sorry for the Stuka style crappy cell phone pics. More latter but I really love the car but not the 160ish price tag. This one had every option (including the Carbon brakes) but the top of the line sound system.

The seating position is almost lower then my old 94 MR2 Turbo.
