Need car transporter recommendation
I need to find a reputable company to transport a car from FL to OH, but I don't know the first thing about how to find a reliable source. Any guidance?
Thanks in advance. |

I used DAS and they were very good. They gave the car a very detailed report when thye picked it up and it is pretty reasonably priced.
The only down side was the car was picked up from the location then dropped off at the shipping terminal, then shipped to the closest terminal in your area where the car is dropped off again and then gets a scheduled delivery to it's destination. So in other words, the car is picked up and dropped off a few times instead of being loaded only once and brought to it's destination. They are the main ebay transporter http://www.dasautoshippers.com/ebay/home.html |

Only had a small problem on the first shipment -- my then new 325Ci was shipped from Phoenix to Atlanta, and it had a couple of greasy finger marks on the headliner. DAS reimbursed me for the cost of a full detail with no questions asked (other than submitting their form and the receipt).

I used Intercity to ship my Evo from Austin to SF and they were excellent.

I contacted Intercity but they don't ship FL to OH. I also contacted Hog Haulers and got the same response. So far DAS is winning, but I'm still looking.

The company that BMW used to haul the M3 to the Zentrum in SC seemed pretty good. I will look around for the business card and update this post when I locate it.

Should be good timing, with all the carriers bringing the snow birds' cars down to FL for the winter. They'll probably give you a good deal going in the other direction, since the trailer will most likely be less than full.

ff, good thought.
For those with experience in transporting, what questions should I ask? I'm also concerned about having the car shipped door to door. Do some do this? |
