A friend of mine used to buy a new Jag every couple of years. He nearly lost it when the dealer told him that the switches "are only expected to last for about 100 uses". That's things like the window up/down switches and the switch to select the reserve fuel tank.

He gave up when his last one hit a pothole and many pieces of interior trim (and possibly exterior trim also) fell off.

I'd previously given him one of those "All of the parts falling off this vehicle are of the very finest British manufacture" stickers (which he didn't use), but when he returned that last Jag under the lemon law, he taped the sticker to the rear windshield. I have a picture around here somewhere.

ok, so I didn't really "see" this in the flesh... but saw this online this morning and wow.... just wow... that's a lot of car to be painted smurf blue. I also saw a new M5 online in smurf blue and had the same reaction.

They have to leave enough room for the 26" wheel option.

I still remember being in Munich in 1992 and seeing a toothpaste-blue M5 in their showroom near the shopping district in Munich. A slightly pastier version of that...

But on a better note, I saw a 911 Speedster this morning -- looked like an '89, like my dad had... Similar to this...
