That is awesome.
Maybe it's a prop from The Americans. |

Leaning tower of power FTW.
But that car's plates appear to have expired 35 years ago? Also, now I have the song "Volare" stuck in my head. |

It was parked in the lot at my daughter's school. Not sure what the deal is with the registration.
I should have checked out the stickers in the front window. They might be the work-around for the expired plates. It also has an EZ Pass in the front window, so it must get driven. |

I forgot to add that it's in the faculty lot. According to my daughter, it's there every day. I'll have to check out those stickers the next time I see it.

I didn't realize MD had done the dumb "Fort " tags previously.

Those aren't nearly as bad as today's.
According to Rick's Plates, the plates were valid up through March 1980 if stickered appropriately. Rick's Plates also has a description of Maryland's Year of Manufacture law that allows the use of MD tags from the car's model year if the car is 25 years or older. Kinda cool.

My girlfriend's (now wife's) parents had an old decrepit Aspen wagon in the late 80s. It had about what I'd estimate as 25% play in the steering at center. It made for death defying trips of endless excitement on the Saw Mill and Taconic parkways.
