C43, I’d opine no.

E53 —love that car. Drive it. Tell us what you think.

BMW 3 series anything —nah. Try something new.

BMW 5 series — please do try. I think this is where you could land. A CPO bargain would be my preferred route here. I second the notion to get the M550 with xDrive.

I actually think the current 5 series is by far the best looking BMW. Somehow its escaped the fate of other models. And yeah, the M550 is quite interesting given the dearth of V8 cars these days.

On a completely different note, it looks like Mercedes dealers are having trouble moving EQS sedans...for obvious reasons. Although this is a "unicorn" deal, it gives you some idea of what might be possible:

I am only now aware of what the EQS is, and how heinously ugly it is

LOL it sure is. Kind of looks like what Grimace (McDonald's character) would drive.

I don’t like BMWs new design language, but at least I understand it. The i7 is as ugly as a stump but it has undeniable presence. Same is true of the X7 and XM.

The EQS, though? Man I don’t get what Mercedes is doing. It doesn’t have any presence at all. It looks like a suppository. Take the star off and it could be pretty much anything. Why do this to your flagship line?

I mean...I "get it" in the sense that they were trying to go for something that would be super efficient. Atleast there's some rationale behind the design vs the bizarro look of something like the BMW iX. Still..someone should've realized that this was not good during the design process.

The SUV version is a little better looking but even more generic. Looks like it could be used in an insurance commerical or something:

This is true. Part of me lusts for that. But I'd hate the mpg penalty. I'd need to see just how awesome it is.

Really? The M340i (available in RWD) doesn't interest you?

Really would like to drive the E53.

I mean, you're only going to own it for a few years. Who cares?
