I actually kind of like the exterior. Simple and modern. The interior is horrible, but that's probably not too far off what most cars will look like ten years from now.
Electricamry indeed.

I'm too lazy to flip through all the older posts, but has anyone commented before how this thing looks kind of like a BMW GT - which isn't really a good thing.

https://www.teslarati.com/decoding-tesla-model-3-vin/
A couple of observations from the VIN: 1) It seems like Tesla intends to sell a dual motor Model 3 in 2017, since it has provided an option in the VIN for that. 2) It seems like Tesla does NOT intend to sell a "Performance" model 3 in 2017, since it has not provided an option in the VIN for that.* *Note that Tesla appears to be using numbers for the drivetrain designations in the Models S and X, and letters for the Model 3. I don't know why that is, except that I guess that the motors are likely different between S and 3. |

What bothers me is that it's ugly looking without having excellent usability of the back / trunk area. It did they fix that small trunk opening? |

Early reviews are pretty positive. I'm note sure where I am in line, but the specs on the long range version are pretty compelling (0-60 in 5.1, 310 miles of range, 44k), especially if I can buy one before the tax credit expires. |

The little styling tweaks they did to it really improve the look. It'll be interesting to see if the reliability has improved since the Model S, which was pretty miserable.
