What is the new Shelby Mustang "KR"?
Any guesses? Tape package? Extra 50 hp? Something more interesting?
Unless it's a Mustang with the full-on Ford GT engine (AL block, dry sump, etc), I don't think I care that much. But it's fun to speculate. http://jalopnik.com/cars/new-york-au...oad-248260.php Best quote from the comments to that post: Quote:

Inspired by the 1968 Shelby Cobra GT500KR, this "King of the Road" will offer an estimated 540 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque, thanks to revised ignition and throttle calibration and a cold air intake system [...]

Is there any possible way that 540 hp is usable in that car?
I bet tire manufacturers will love it.

I'm guessing there will be at least 100lbs of extra scoops, stickers, badges, grilles.
Plus, it'll only be fast until the supercharged engine heat soaks. Then it'll be like a regular mustang GT except it'll have a huge lump of an iron engine up front. Whoopee. The Mustang market makes no sense to me. |

Just wait until we're running FS in a new Boss or Camaro in 2009...

More are coming. It's easier to think of them as option packages, though. Remember that way back when many cars came with quite a few engine choices, especially in the muscle and pony car segments. This really isn't that different.
