Yeah Ted - I saw that one. Was 'ok' to a point - but didn't want a 2000.
Still looking favorably towards your's when you get to that point... if you get to that point.

On a side note, I have the E38 in the shop now for the engine work (and some other stuff too). I will drive that one for a while and go from there...

Another personal friend of mine just put up something rather different from the cars we usually follow:

Remember this one....

And here

Just to prove it is never safe to get back in the water - the auction winner doesn't want to keep the car... and reached out to see if any of the other bidders did.

Yeah - I do... maybe.
But - now that (I figure) the car is on the east coast, the $$ I would pay for it are different than if it is a 2 hour drive away (as it was for the BaT auction).

Still- With the E38 getting fixed, the new engine and such going in the E9 soon - wtf, why not. I don't need it but it would be cool to have.
We'll see what happens. I know... I know. It is a disease, right?

I just noticed those letters. For me, they’d be 12-10-DMO. Hooyah Deep Sea!

I know a modern architect in DC who drives one of these (old model, dunno which year) and wears shredded old Khakis. It's part and parcel of the persona.

I am not sure how I feel about this. It seems inevitable, somehow, like the tides. When I sent it to my wife, she described it as "hilarious," which is about right.

Start washing your khakis with rocks.

It's mine now. It even had a few little things fixed (by the auction winner) that are now a bonus to me so... Now... Where do I park it? lol

Will call transport company tomorrow to arrange getting it to Seattle.
