Oh - some of you may remember my calypsored E38 that I had....

This car was another of his toys....
The fella I bought the red E38 from had this too. He also has an E9 and some other goodies (including an airplane lol).

I really loved the one I had. And I loved each of the three engines it went through. The linked example looks fantastic (except for the color combo). I haven't paid attention to prices, but $8,900 seems really high. My gut tells me $5k would be much more realistic.

I don't like the color combo, but if I did, oh boy. It seems to be priced right-ish, although it's about double the high end of what I'd want to spend. Something's weird that it hasn't sold yet. Maybe the guy is insisting the buyer take the second engine and that's limiting his buyers? Maybe it's that the color combo is so...strong?

Looking at the dude's other posts makes it a little easier to understand. Not actually his car (his dad's). He's early 20s. Looking for an apartment near Houston for $650/mo to help weigh a job offer. Has a C5 Z06 and a '57 Chevy that looks nice on the outside but has significant rusty frame and underbody issues that his dad will trade him for for the C3.

I've bought one "why is this still for sale?" Corvette off corvetteforum.com. Don't need to get involved with another for real money.
