insanely bad cell phone pictures. It's dark before and after work, so I'll have to get real pictures this weekend. Hopefully.

I'm really digging this car.

Very nice, I really like it in the four door configuration.

Stopped at a friends house and used his point and shoot. I'm not a photog; so I'm blissfully ignorant to how bad this pictures probably are.

Here's a quick question, what's the best way (easiest vs effectiveness) to keep the paint and under-carriage rust free and shiny? I might actually keep this car for a while.

Don't drive in rain or snow.

If you do, then lots of car washes.

more questions:

1) Having now looked at the pictures from the front, that plate sucks bad. If I remove it, what do I do with the plate holes in the bumper?

2) How would I find out if our 2007 Passat Wagon and this TDI can swap wheels between them?

Congrats on the new car! I'm really enjoying my GTI. Just passed the 10K mile mark and taking it in next Wednesday for it's first oil change. Other than adding some oil over the summer and having to replace a tire due to a pothole, the GTI has been rock solid with no mechanical problems. (Knock on wood). My first GTI was also good for the first 4 years, but then just kind of started to self destruct! Hopefully that won't happen with this one!

It's a little late now for the bumper. You could try some little rubber plugs from home depot, or get a decal made up to look like the tag and cover them up with that, or attach the plate without the bulky mount.

There's bound to be a vw forum somewhere with the wheel specifications. Of course in the amount of time it'll take to seek that out you could just try swapping them and see for yourself.

It's your long distance daily cruiser. Leave the front plate on.
