So things aren't working out too well ... it seems I either move in with FC or I'm never getting a lift

There just isn't enough ceiling height to allow a lift on the left side of the garage, my contractor told me this today but of course I just spent the last 20 minutes in my attic above the garage with my measuring tape and he is absolutely right, it cannot work unless I raise the roof of my house which is a whole different story being we were considering it last year but it is a $50k project to redo the outside of the house and that doesn’t include the cost of the garage to get it able to have a lift.

So unless I do it on the right side which is not happening because I do not want a lift in the middle of my garage I guess I will have to live through those of you that have more garages then me.

Here is a pic of the garage so you see why I don't want to do the right side.
