718 Boxster GTS 4.0 Pricing
Just happened to see that the configurator is up on Porsche's US site.
https://www.porsche.com/usa/models/7...ts-4-0-models/ Maybe I did not look or click carefully, but when configured similarly, I was disappointed to see the price difference was only about 4-5k. Sure, the power top is great and 5k is no small amount. But you do miss out on a much nicer front end, GT-tuned suspension, more power, higher redline, and a bunch of other bits. Also, the Spyder is bound to hold up better on resale. Perhaps this just means that they priced it right. A good GTS 4.0 review that references the Spyder: |

Edit: Built mine and ended up at $100k. Lava Orange and 14-way seats. And a couple of other things. Although, I have to say, that Aventurine Green is kind of interesting. Also, Eurodelivery is available, for when Americans are no longer non-grata abroad... Last edited by wdc330i; 06-30-2020 at 11:38 AM. |

That’s insane pricing or maybe I’m just getting old.

Some local demos here (possibly from the Performance Center):
https://www.hennessyporsche.com/used...18-boxster.htm Edit: All PDKs, alas. Oops. The 4 cylinder. Obviously haven't been following closely. But, we do get more than our fair share of Performance Center demos, so probably next year will see some lightly used (ie: abused by PCA drivers and paying visitors) 6 cylinders for sale. Agreed. And it's stupid. I also rather have the power top. It's far better than the 987 Spyder top, which was utterly ridiculous, but nothing dropping or raising the roof on the move. Also, the stupid Spyder top is not insulated.

It's probably not as impressive as it sounds because each adjustment counts as a "way" so moving the seat forward back is 2 for example. Lumbar is 4. My guess is: Lumbar 4 Forward/Back 2 Backrest: 2 Height: 2 side bolsters: 2 thigh support: 2 Sometimes they count headrest adjustments as well which further inflates the number. That's 14. Basically the same amount of adjustments as an e90 with sport seats. Nice but not mind blowing. |

I took a swag. I am debating between the Espresso / Cognac natural leather or the full GTS interior. If I go to the Espresso / Cognac my price comes down to $106k LOL

I have these seats on both of my cars, there is no side bolster adjustment ... I should know what the 14 way is for but I need to go look at my car later and figure it out. BTW this seat for me is important for the comfort level, I need a seat I can tilt both the front and back and the 18 ways are too tight for me in the shoulder area. |
