Those interiors + fwd + premium pricing: I never expect to have a mini.
You must have missed the part about the wife wanting one. She can have one after putting up with the mini van if this is what she wants. She loved our first one and didn't want to see it go. She thinks she can handle schlepping the kids around in this one. So it's first on the list of big ticket toys.

yeah.

it has different plumbing with dual exhaust ports (likely a single muffler, though, still).

On both models, "factory JCW" exhaust is superior to the "JCW tuning kit" exhaust. The only problem is that you end up paying much more to get the former compared to the latter if you buy the whole car.

The JCW tuning kit exhaust is somewhat of a compromise... sounds great at idle and on acceleration, but it also is too loud when cruising on the highway in 5th or 6th. The factory JCW car's exhaust does a better job of providing great sounds while not being too obnoxious on the highway.

The most "economical" solution, but one that requires a bit more work, is to get a MCS with the tuning kit, separately purchase the factory JCW exhaust, and sell the JCW tuning kit exhaust. Your extra net cost will only be a few hundred dollars, but it is a bit more effort. I had a customer that swapped after driving his MCS w/ tuning kit for a couple of days on the highway and HATING the sound, and he was extremely happy with the outcome.

I'd concur that the JCW tuning kit is not the greatest on the highway.
