Interesting list and agree w/ most of the cars on there... reasonable acquisition cost and unlikely to go down in value, even if they don’t appreciate a lot. Some of them are definitely trending higher though.

I’ve casually watched E46 M3 market for a while and feels like one that has been on upward trajectory for a while now. 6MT coupes and decent mileage and no major issues are $$$ and climbing.

I think a lot of us would extend the Boxster window to include 2nd gen cars. I know JST mentioned upgrading his, but feels like he could also keep his current car another 10 years with little to no drop in value.

Yeah the 987s are pretty close to the bottom of their depreciation curve. Not sure they’ll ever appreciate but I doubt I’ll lose much keeping it other than maintenance.

You can still find E46 M3s with the awful SMG gearbox for pretty cheap. The swap to a stick isn't that hard either.
