Other than that it's a convertible E30. Whether that's good or not is up to you

I mean, I'm not going to run it in spec E30. I've always liked the way the E30 convertibles looked; they're just an extremely clean design.

I don't think I suggested racing it. If you like it, buy it!

It reminds me of 1980s yuppie db's, personally

It's pretty cool and I do like the interior. I would find an i-6 though, I can't imagine the 4cyl is very engaging.

Well, that's kind of on brand for me, I guess.

There's another one that's a six and is much, much closer (in MD) but will probably go for big money and I don't like the color as much. But it's probably the smarter play, to the extent either of these is a smart play (i.e., not at all).

I really love those. There was a white one behind me in traffic yesterday. The E30 convertible, along with the 2002, remain the pinnacle of BMW chassis in my mind. Edit: from an aesthetic standpoint. Although, Kevin’s E9 is stunning, too.

That's way better. The color combo wouldn't be my first choice - I despise tan interiors - but I like the exterior.

As a fellow adherent to 1980s yuppie DB culture, I love e30 convertibles. I agree with JV that the gray 325 is the superior car here. They have been popping up on BaT quite a bit so you can probably hold out for the one you want.

The gray and tan really work well together. And tan is such a classic convertible color.

JST, man you need a garage...

+1

I haven’t driven an E30 convertible in about 20 years, don’t think it’ll be an awesome handling car but think it would have a lot of character for what it is.

I owned a E30 318i sedan that I bought off a family friend when I was in high school and was fun given my alternatives, but at this point I see zero reason to not get a 325 instead.

I also love red with tan interior on these. It just completes the 90210 look. 😄
