MEGUIAR'S D14001 Wheel Brightener

This rocks.

The winter wheels on the LR4 looked almost gold they has so much brake carp on them. They look AMAZING now.

You cannot leave it on long, and you have to wear gloves, etc., but this is what I have been looking for for ever.

Night and day difference.

I diluted it 50:50 and after I had cleaned the wheels with Dawn I applied a think coat and worked in with a detail brush. I made sure to not leave it there too long (1-2 minutes total by the time I was done with all the spokes) and rinsed it thoroughly.

Highly recommended.

It's alright, although you REALLY should protect yourself while using it. Even if it's the reformulated less deadly version.

I can't say that I've really had much need for it vs. SONAX, though. And when my OZs were seriously contaminated, Wheel Brightener didn't work on them, either. The magic solution there was muriatic acid. (Really.)

I suspect bmw wheel cleaner is the same as sonax, you can't leave it on long either and it smells terrible... I spray it on wheels before a car wash (but have to make sure the wheels are not hot).

Sonax is good. I have it and use it, but it could not do what this did. Not remotely.

I used extra-thick disposable gloves and eye protection.
