PDK with any of these engines is a potent combination, like we keep talking about.

When the standard 911 is 3.2 to 3.5 seconds to hit 60mph —you have to figure this is peak for the ICE era.

What the S and GTS seem to add (IMHO)? Those ridiculous elapsed times to hit 100mph and the trap speeds in the 1/4 mile. These cars are rockets. And they can handle.

Yeah, acceleration times are bananas. I recall reading that a McLaren F1 could do 0-60 in 3.2 seconds at the time and that sounded absurd. When I read that a 911 Turbo (993) could do it in ~3.7 that felt crazy for a non-hyper car.

All these 911’s are VERY fast. Heck the 718 GTS is a 4 second car.

The F90 M5 has been clocked at under 3 seconds.

I posted somewhere the stat panel comparison showing that past 60 mph even the RWD, NA, manual Boxster GTS is as fast or faster than the 959.

It’s all launch control. The McF1 would def be under 3 seconds with modern launch control.

That Carwow Matt guy got under 3 seconds for the GT3 and it’s not a particularly quick car like the M5 and the TTS are.

Did you see the YouTube video where the Turbo (not Turbo S) walked the M5? That was eye opening to me.

Modern automatics also help create the insane 0-60 numbers as well. To get a better sense/comparison of how 2 cars will feel in terms of acceleration in the real world I find it helpful to look at 5-60 times (car and driver posts these results for example)

Yes, and better tires compared to the 90's.
