ZBB, have you been reading all the posts about people rejecting delivery for various issues? I'm sure it's a small percentage but inspect yours well.

For what it's worth, I upgraded to the PUP now that Elon said its the only one getting track mode. I'm a sucker and can't resist upgrade-itis.

Oh and my delivery estimate (even before I changed it) is now "Late September"

There was a clone of my car on the lot — VIN was 75 lower than mine.

I’m just frustrated that the guy in Vegas goes silent. This is 2 times now that I’ve been given an approx delivery date, but no confirmation of actual delivery...

That would frustrate the sh*t out of me but is it really surprising for a Tesla... i don’t know much about them but from what I read this is not exactly a reliable company. They seem to be in the headlines constantly

Tesla has been fantastic to work with prior to now. This is showing their growing pains… I'm just frustrated since he's not communicating well -- he stated on Monday that they were finalizing the paperwork, taking off the trade of the S, and checking on how long it would take to get to the delivery center from Wednesday (expected day in OH). I asked 2x this week for updates with no response. Its the lack of communication and going silent that is frustrating. I was expecting delivery around October or so -- so this still should be faster.

I am a bit concerned that the car was damaged and they don't want to tell me. I'm definitely going to check it closely, and I have the TMC checklist someone posted. If I find damage, I won't hesitate to refuse delivery and ask for another VIN. One of the early S owners on TMC posted that he took delivery last week -- and spent an hour looking over the car (he accepted, but found a small paint chip on the hood - leading edge, so not visible when closed and Tesla will fix)...

Anyway -- when I walked around their lot yesterday, I had a couple observations.
- The red with 19" wheels looks fantastic. I'm glad I saw the clone of my car -- its the right combo for me. There was a blue and dark gray with the 19's (one may have been the 20's -- there was one P+ there also) -- both looked great.

- I'm glad I didn't order the white interior. This was the first time I saw it. I like the look of the white seats -- its the white panel on the dash that I really don't like.
