Threads like this are why my Cayman's 19" Spyder wheels live in the garage and I drive around on 18" Kmart specials. (I mean tire rack specials)

The Kmart wheels also dropped me 5 lbs / corner (wheel and tire combined) but that's beside the point.

I don't like having pothole anxiety. Just not worth it.

I hit a pothole, I guess. I think I remember the incident though I thought it was the front wheel.

You can see the crack in the wheel, right below the air bubbles.

I'm open to suggestions.

2 of them have rash. One is minor, the other is major (2 sets of 3-4 inch rash -- I was turning right at an intersection, and somebody decided to turn left right in front of me, so I hit the brakes and the rear passenger wheel hit the curb at speed). But its just cosmetic...

I paid $1k for the current OEM 19's (turbine style) about 20 months ago, and they are on the car now -- and that is still the going price. Considering 2 of the older OEMs are damaged, how about $500?

Hm, that’s about half of what a single new wheel is going to cost. But I’d need new tires. Let me think about it.

Wheel Collision Center (or whatever similar place is closer to you). I was surprised to find out they do enough business here in Pothole City that they offer pickup / dropoff service, despite it being 85+ miles from their shop. You just have to call to schedule because there are usually more wheels to be repaired than fit in their truck.

That’s kind of low. PSI sticker on the car says to inflate the 19s to 42!
