You did great, you're getting a new one ... if you want an honest response yes your time is worth money but I also think we are a group of real people here who realize this is a part of life, shit happens to all of us ... I'd just be relieved I was getting a new car.

I am not sure, guess maybe because I still do not have my car back.

Actually even better news in the offer email, they are going to get me a 2019 GTI S. 2019 comes with the R brakes and electronic diff as standard. So I am going to keep driving my loaner, then get my 2018 GTI back, then finally get the 2019 GTI.

Got my old GTI back yesterday, $10k for the engine and $4k to install. Mechanic thought it was new engine not re-manufacturer since so expensive.
