two cats need a good home
It breaks my heart but unfortunately, due to allergies, I need to find a new home for my cats. I was wondering if you might know someone looking to adopt. PLEASE ask around and feel free to forward this to your friends.
Both of my girls are indoor cats, healthy, spayed, not declawed, and go to the vet for their checkups. They are both super soft, playful and as sweet as can be. Playing with water dripping from the faucet ranks high among the daily activities. That, and sleeping. They are quiet and don't meow all the time, a Maine Coon characteristic. Inquisitive yet mellow, they are the best cats I've ever had. They are litter box trained and not finicky. And as long as you provide them with a scratching area, they won't scratch up your furniture. They are long-haired but don't require a lot of maintenance like other long-haired cats. Just an occasional brushing here and there. For you travelers... they can be left at home for one to two nights alone as long as they have plently of food and water. I cannot send them outside due to some stiff stray cat competition in my neighborhood. I can provide pictures and vet records to any interested parties. I would not be charging for the adoption. Ideally, I'd like to place them together, but it is most important that they find a good home. Thank You, -jana |

I'm asking around, but besides the occasional "PF Changs" answer, nothing yet.

It's not something allergy meds can fix?

Oh geez, Im sorry to hear this Jana. If my wife found out she would insist on getting them both! Our current cat is not friendly to other cats though and it would not work out. I hope you find a good home for them both. The allergies in Austin SUCK!

pics of the cats are below... I contacted the breeder that we got them from and apparently she gets first dibs and will place them for us. They are also causing asthma problems, so I don't think allergy meds would prevent the problem. :-(
