That the 328 put out 230hp 8 years later from the same displacement was silly. Similar to Mazda getting only 155hp out of the ND Miata. Now they offer 30hp more. I bet they could squeeze even more. |

The description has some nice tidbits- my personal favorites are "adult owned" and the 4 inch binder. Sounds like they were reaching a bit with this one. It's a nice car and I'd love to have one, but for the likely price of it I think there will always be better options (such as a 15k e91 and a 15k miata). Also the F31 wagon looked so much better but of course lacked 6 cylinders and a manual. |

Edit: For comparison, I’m told that a no boost N55 produces a fairly tragic 180hp.

Slightly (but not much) reduced compression, timing, and probably cams. Turbo cams and timing are very different.

Does anyone here have a 328? N54 manifold + tune is doing 250rwhp (nearly 300 at the flywheel). Seems like a nice setup. And with the N54 manifold, unlike the 330i three stage, it’s revvy.

The turbo manifold? That's a cool idea.
