That is fucking embarrassing. I guess that's what happens when the marketing folks need something to show at the last minute

My eyes glazed over trying to read that article.

Sounds like an inept PR person misread (and plagiarized) some charging speed comparison data from Twitter?

I mean, sure, it's not good. But the breathless tone of the article was a little much considering how often Elon Musk lies and exaggerates.

Glazed over here, too, but I read enough to get that there was some significant willful misrepresentation. It would be hard to pin it on the company rather than the individual in most cases, but it was done at a a major industry event. More than enough senior eyes should have seen it before he presented it and no one flagged it.

Kinda shocked the Audi comms guy was as open as he was about what his colleague did rather than give a flack like answer. Either he doesn't know what he's doing or Audi knows it's a big deal.

So... Mrs. ZBB now has a Model Y on order.

We will be an all-EV household once it arrives (I’m guessing late this year or early next year)...

Congrats! Model Y will generate a lot of sales for sure. My 5 year old has started talking about Teslas and "how they are the coolest cars". He's been wanting me to take him to the tesla showroom. We went yesterday and I loaded up that beach buggy arcade game for him - was kind of funny watching him try to steer and use the accelerator pedal. Means i could never buy one now cause he'd sneak out to the garage do that all night for sure.

One other observation is that as i've they've improved the build quality of the Model 3, the Model S looks like it hasn't changed at all. Seeing the 2 next to each other makes the Model S look like it was built in the 70s or 80s (lots of misaligned trim, big gaps, etc). Still prefer the looks of it though.
