And Porsche is still doing this, but there was never any price advantage at Porsche

Yes. That would be nice, but then again, it would require buying a new Porsche and that is unlikely for me. But if I ever did, I would absolutely do it that way.

I suspect the Taycan and any future BEV will be excluded. The power ports on the car are different shapes for EU vs US.

Unless they swap out that part after ED

Before COVID, I was half-jokingly trying to convince my wife on a new 718 Boxster GTS. I feel that it will hold its value VERY well. Enough to perhaps amount to the cost of ownership of a more reasonable car. It would be amazing to ED that car. Well, that was then.

Before COVID, I was pointing out that we have an insane points balance and should take a couple weeks and go somewhere. Oh well.

Specifically not allowed in the EU spec, although an adapter world work - the underlining spec is the same, just a different connector layout. In the pic below, the US and EU are on the right side (the leftmost is CHAdeMO and also used in the US, mostly by Nissan, the other is the China standard). All 4 are physically 3-4x the size of the Tesla adapter...

Pic isn’t showing, but this link has it: https://insideevs.com/news/321193/ch...andard-by-iec/
