I'm posting my opinion. I had such a fun drive on it, literally just now, around 75 to 80mph on highways and some joy on ramps that I not only posted on 'mudgeons, I also texted signif other that her car was awesome. Sharing. You're the one who brought up the diesel pickup as that's your opinion. Hilarious in my view. Crazy that we both have e46 m3's though. So much for baselines.

Basically sounds like Bren does not like fwd cars. New GTI sounds great, especially when optioned with the LSD and probably one of the best fwd options. Preaching to the choir but with fwd but once you push it past 8/10 it will push and lose traction. There only so much you can do with engine hanging off the front driving the front wheels.

Obviously a GTI is more fun to drive than a newer 5. What wouldn't be. Also obvious that 350+ HP/TQ is fun, in a small car especially.
Maybe you should get out and drive the m3 more often is all I'm saying. And yes FWD cars suck. |

Yeah, but they have come so far . . . . I think back to the Dodge Daytona Shelby Z and Shelby Charger I owned back in the late 80's. Never knew which way the front end was going to hop when popping the clutch in first gear

During winter time I must have to clean the rear camera lens probably once a week on my exposed one. Meanwhile on our MB GL in the 3 years I never had to clean it once. |

Switched to low output. Fool's errand. Totally regretting.
