That's the FWD chinese platform 2er Grancoupe or some such shit. Not even a 'real' 2. Sad times. The 5er is a really nice looking sedan. The other stuff, not so much.

I wouldn't say it's terrible, as a car--it's fine, more or less. It has decent interior space and a kind of fun orange color inside. Steering feel is mediocre but not ridiculous for a FWD/AWD car. The suspension is overly flinty but not bone-jarring. The engine makes reasonable power but sounds like trash. The new iDrive is...OK? Largely intuitive, a slight improvement over the one in my car, but still not without its mysteries. There's a wireless charger for your phone, which is nice. The transmission programming is better than I remember the last BMW automatic I drove being, but it's still not good. Way too much lag at throttle tip-in.
So, as a car it's OK. As a BMW? It's garbage. There's nothing here that feels particularly sporting. I'd buy a GTI over this car all day, every day, even without AWD. I just don't see why you'd want one of these. LOL, I just looked at the configurator and this is a $42,000 car. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha fuck no. |

It's a DSG, though, so no real interest on my part. But yeah, if I were in the market for a car like this, I'd buy either of these in a heartbeat before the new ones get here. |

My son, when offered a ride: “no thanks.”
Me: “you don’t like it’s style?” Him: “what style? Basic Toyota?” |
