I like the 981 better and still would like to have one but it's hard to justify. Maybe many years down the road when the kids are in college. I would like a GTS.

I even checked to see if the 718 taillights would fit the 981 and then don’t. If and when I get a 981 S the darker GTS tails will be the first update. The solid red is to much for me.

Another E39 M5 with some odd auction history... not to mention it is a car that needs some help.

When I had my first Cayman, the 2006 987.1, I ended changing the taillights from the half white half red to the all red, lipstick-y look. I think that was an option on some 2008 cars. I stayed pleased with that change.

In the 981, I have it's already very redy and curvy , I never had the desire to put the darker tails as I think there are other darker trim pieces that go with the GTS look. Also, having test driven GTS's properly when they were new, I have no desire for them. They are good in that some important option boxes are pre-checked but IMHO not worth the premium over a comparable S. They also have a boomy, piped-in sound box in the cabin that would require immediate attention to my taste. They actually have less of the clean pur to roar porsche sound because of whatever that thing is. I had to ask after my test drive; this was not bookish information.

I get worked up every time a 456 pops up. This one looks great but I'm not crazy about the seller.

How do you address it? Easy / hard?

I asked why his car was relisted after he had a RNM auction when BaT states no seconc chances as there are other cars that are waiting to get listed...
And now I am locked out of commenting. Will be interesting to see how this plays out. I'm not going to go away on this.
The next time they have a BaT thing here in Seattle - I will BE SURE to attend. I've done that in the past - will do so again.

I don't know, but I'm guessing the seller could have removed his/her reserve on the first go round. If the bid is very close, I think BAT has lessened their commission to allow the auction to close.

I don't follow these things that closely, but that sounds pretty shitty.
