Right, I was just thinking that location (climate) may play a large role in that aspect.

The problem with the E28 M5...well, not "problem," really, but "thing about" the E28 M5 is that it really does feel vintage in a way even the E30 M3 doesn't. It's willowy and has kind of dead control inputs, and it's not terribly fast by modern standards. That's all fine, and it makes for an interesting drive, but I think I'd honestly rather have an E36 M3/4 for a daily driver, even if I weren't driving it that much.

What about something like this? 1990 944 S2, $9500.

http://bringatrailer.com/2014/09/23/...orsche-944-s2/

It's not a 911, obvs., but the 944s are a kick to drive and the prices are still attainable.

Or, I followed one of these last night...

When I saw that add a few hours ago, I felt the price was very reasonable. The first paragraph of his ad on Pelican Parts is dribble, you are buying the car, not the previous owners

It's too bad they never put a 6 liter V8 in the 928.

Past a certain point, I don't think that the pricing really matters. Too bad it's a terrible color combo.
