Did it have the new b series 4 cylinder, or is it still the n20 tractor engine? I do think the new X1 looks good. I checked one out a couple months ago when a buddy was looking at an e93 M3. I thought the interior was pretty cheap, but I didn't pay too much attention because at the time I didn't think we'd be buying a car for quite some time. I also thought the shifter was excessively large. Packaging was much nicer than the previous gen X1 both for the back seat occupants and the trunk.

I actually think the x1 is the best looking SUV in BMW's current line-up. Now that I think about it's probably the best looking of all the FWD based CUVs. Not my cup of tea, but I might consider one for a cheap enough lease .
