Enthusiast Auto Cars

Their inventory is less interesting these days. In fact, they probably need a new business plan. But this is quite the item:

I still get a kick out of their prices. $60k for a 540 wagon. It'd have to be made of solid gold to justify that.

They just got $200k for an e39 M5. That should keep them in business for a bit longer.

That was the asking price, but do we know if it actually sold for that price?

Anyway, that's a pretty outstanding car. Exterior is gorgeous, even if the interior color and trim not to my preference.

LOL, if that price is accurate and this price is too:

http://enthusiastauto.com/qsearch/?i...orm_display=51

Then the difference between a 3,000 mile M5 and a 23,000 mile M5 is $100,000.

That's some pretty steep depreciation! The buyer of that $200K car can't even push it to the trailer without losing value. Better put it on wheeled jacks.

And people pay these prices?

I suppose we are into the world of collectible/museum pieces/speculation, so I am not even sure how to assess value at that point.

EAG's value is instant gratification for people who don't care about the money. Spend a year hunting for a car, or call EAG? If you're rich enough, the answer is clearly the latter, unless you enjoy the search as much as clyde does.
