Not to sound like a broken record but if you are not doing hard core real 4wd off roading, I still say the Honda Pilot Touring 4wd is the way to go. It will tow up to 4500Lbs. The Pilot gives you much more space and utility than the 4Runner and the same if not better reliability and resale value. We've had an '08 and put 120k miles on it and now an '11 with around 55k miles on it. Nothing to do but regular scheduled maintenance and oil changes. Oh and the front end of the Pilot is equally as ugly as the front end of the 4Runner.

I'm sure it's a solid choice, but we couldn't get past the completely cobbled together look and feel of the controls and dash. This thing was in serious need of a refresh and upgrade.

I agree. But with the upcoming redesign, I hope they don't move away from it's current box form. It gives it a lot of utility and space. I'll take the garbage dash in place of some swoopy CUV looking exterior that compromises the interior cargo space.

I agree; that's what we really liked about it.

No, no, no... Toyota has had a falling out with Tesla. Doubt we'll see a Tesla-powered 4Runner now that Tesla is done with the Rav4 EV...
