I like it.

It’s pretty cool.

It’s a good idea to run your cars occasionally. (Was helping a friend with a start condition in his race car.)

I've had better days......

Ran over something on the exit from the freeway right near the house as I was driving home from work Thursday.
Split the sidewall of the LF tire. The tires are 6 years old and I was getting to the point of needing new rears anyway, so... will get a full set.
I hope the wheel is ok. It was a pretty good punch... Don't know what it was, but I saw it go flying out to the left in the side mirror as I drove.... it squirted out pretty good - I must have just hit it right to do both the damage it did and then go shooting off like it did.

On a side note - Several years ago, I bought a wheel and tire as a spare and to hang on the shop wall. It was from a Porsche dealer who had it in their showroom display when these cars were new - and then unloaded it when the next version(s) came out. It is the same set up as the front. Granted, the tire is waaaaay old. But it will work good enough for me to drive on for 5 miles (no freeway) to get the new tires installed. I have the 'decoration' hanging in on the wall in the shop. I bought it in 'reverse Murphy's Law' thinking if I had a spare, I'd never need it. LOL - worked for... 85,000 miles.

Ugh… bummer!

Smart buy at the time as those 19” Carrera Classics are now pushing $2k a wheel. Discount Tire learned that lesson last June when they carelessly mounted a new MPS4S and screwed up one of the four wheels I had just purchased used in May.

BTW, even though it is dark the car looks great!

Sorry, Kevin!

BTW, a local guy just posted a car club Facebook plea to borrow a 20-inch wheel and tire. His 2018 M3 is stranded with a blown wheel/tire and tow trucks can’t help him until Monday or Tuesday.

Maybe I need to start carrying my spare for short trips…or maybe the dude doesn’t have AAA…

Angry

Argh that sucks and just after you posted about loving the 997 the other day … I had something similar happen to me a couple of weeks ago on a road trip with the M550, 3 hours in the perfectly paved parkway had a dip in one of the drain/sewer grills, all I heard was a HUGE bang and then had a slight vibration in the steering wheel … I was beyond upset since I had to do a 3+ hour drive home 2 days later.

I got lucky, the tire didn’t get a bubble, the wheel didn't bend and all it needed was a balance.

Keep us posted on what happens with the 911.

Temporary car. It’s pretty fast. Makes good noises. The 10 speed auto isn’t my favorite but it actually kind of suits this car.

I was at a friends house tonight and I thought this picture looked pretty cool from their window in their house.
