Here are a few more pics ... really am amazed by this car, the power is insane ... BMW rates it at 0-60 in 3.6 seconds Who wants to race ... except JST with his Tesla 3. . I drove the smaller engine Tesla 3 and that thing was fast as sh*t

Looks great! I agree the engine is a gem - feels like more than 523hp for sure.

Nice! And a decent grill. You may need to buy this one off-lease.

Their lineup is definitely hit-or-miss. I think the 2er sedan is a joke, but they’re just trying to pump out some volume to amortize the cost of the FWD architecture. Though seems like BMW (and Benz) are finally coming around and realizing they just have too many models. I also think they are making some really strong SUVs. Sucks for car enthusiasts, but that is where the interest is these days. X3, X5 and X7 are all really good in their segments. Quote:
+1. ~15 months in and love this engine. Quote:
I’m open to the idea of buying my X5 if the numbers make sense. On my past few BMWs the residuals were too high though and BMW doesn’t allow dealers to negotiate w/ leasees anymore

I take Sarafil’s point—or maybe I take his word for it. I’m not BMWs target customer anymore. I suppose there’s such a thing as a “good SUV” but I wouldn’t know or care what that is.
There was nothing on that lot that I was even mildly interested in, once I realized their left over M4s and single M2 were all DCTs. Yawn. |

But even if I had had to buy a sedan in that category, I would almost certainly have gone with the C63S for the V8 or the Alfa QV over the M3. And that is sad. |

Fun fact / tangent... I was just reading an article on the new 2022 c-class. It will be all 4 cylinder lineup w/ various degrees of tune and hybrid/electric assist. Even the C63 replacement will apparently be a 500+ hp 4 cyl.

At this point I'd wait for the Blackwing. EDIT: Quote:
One way to ease the pain of killing the ICE and replacing it with electric motors is to make everything a 2.0L four cylinder before you do it. |
