Oh, sport mode still kills startstop in the mild hybrid cars? Didn't realize that.

I have discovered “adaptive” mode in my 4, and it’s great. At least around town during break-in with crappy roads.

I usually go into sport mode and sport transmission mode after reaching operating temp.

Did this on our X5 too. Used bimmercode to default to my previous choice at startup and auto disable auto start stop.

I think it’s more comfortable for passengers to just do adaptive when they are in the car. My son used to fuss about sport in the 2… Do we absolutely know for sure there will not be a new 2 series convertible on the G platform? I woke up this morning thinking about that. |

Weird. My 2 is back at the dealer where I traded it. Certified now; asking is a couple of thousand more than I got in trade; an extra 7k miles on it.

WDC, i was going to PM you but your mailbox is full. A good friend of mine is shopping CX-5s. Can you remind me what the engine issue/concern is / was and what models and years were effected please? Any thoughts and pros/cons vs similar little SUVs would be interesting. He's looking 2018 or newer.
