Is it a launch/demo spec? Many of the press cars have been that color.
It’s a lot, color-wise, but it’s the one I’d get and I bet is the one that holds its value best, long term. Meanwhile, at the other end of the spectrum... |

I think, if you really have to have one of these, you do best to get it in a very dark color where the grille just blends in with the rest of the car—as much as it can. And, yes, JST, you probably are correct about the value of the launch color. If you can stand it. |

I didn't really look at either listing, but why is that one $20K+ more expensive than the green one?

I'm guessing $20k of carbon trim and ceramic brakes

That's what I'm thinking. Black might work good on this new M3 to somewhat tone down that mistake of a front end. I bet we see a quick refresh to fix this. The M3 and M4 will sell based on the cars' capability and performance numbers but the lesser models are doomed.

Also... At least these kidneys let air in. I walked by a G20 just now, and it's really quite something to see a 100% cosmetic kidney with no air holes.

That's true. The whole design just looks bad. Does the G20 use that dumb open/close grill deal like the 7 series? When the car is off the baffle closes. I'm not up on my BMW knowledge that much anymore.
