I think you could get a “best of both worlds” option - keep the pride of ownership with 2 series, and get some added practicality for favorable terms on the lease. With a strong discount and subsidized residual, it’s hard to justify buying it unless you know you’d keep it for a long time.

Good points. Just have to get out of the “spec it exactly as I want” mindset—and into “find the lowest tolerable spec” mentality. Even these low-ish mileage lease limits would be fine if I keep the 2. The 2 just turned 10k miles after 2.5 years+ of ownership. I would put even fewer miles on it with a foul-weather, highway hauler in the mix.

The broker deals seem a little risky though. Do you just look for the dealer direct ones?

Are insurance rates higher on a lease?

My experience is no.

Rates don't seem to care how you are paying for the car. Common sense would think you take a little bit better care of a leased car, because it does get inspected at lease end. But when do/did insurance companies value common sense??

I would think claims would be higher on a leased car, because you have to fix cosmetic stuff before turn in.

I think that sub 3 year old luxury cars tend to get fixed anyway.

I have an x3 m4.0I loaner for the day. Overall its quite nice, the seats aren't as comfortable as BMW sport seats of old. I'll post my thoughts this evening when I give it back.

It’s funny that the series is called ‘G’21(I know that is the sedan but whatever G series number they call the coupe) as from the sides and the back it closely resembles the G infinity coupe.

My god that grill though.
