But now I have lined up the 992 S, a Macan EV and a Panamera 4S eHybrid. I am doing a lot of thinking about the depreciation of a new vehicle and if it is well intentioned to choose the vehicles that I have.

Maybe it’s all the last hurrah.

Wow …. I just checked out the thread below, I thought the manual steering column was a covid issue and was resolved.

Are the 992‘s still not coming with electric steering columns ?

Yep… and do not forget the various shades of grey.

My main issue is that most individuals are total slobs within the interior of their vehicles. Secondly, most individuals also do not hand wash their vehicles. They much rather run them through the swirl machine, aka an automatic wash.

Correct, still no electric steering columns on the 992.1. A non-issue for me as my prior experience via having it on a BMW was not a positive one. They typically end up making a god-awful noice and/or fail. Think of it this way, one less item to be concerned about from a failure standpoint.

It’s a cool car though.

Is that a PTS color?

It’s unique and it will be worth the money to someone.

I’m dying to know which 911 models will offer a manual transmission in the 992.2 cars. The paranoid part of my brain says this 175k for a T will seem cheap if they stop offering manuals on the T and S models. It seems a foregone conclusion it’s no longer possible on 992.2 GTS models.

It is crazy that you can order it on the 718 as a $220 option but not on the 911.

I remember when this first became unavailable and I thought Porsche had said they would retrofit it on cars with the manual steering column at a later date, I guess that is long forgotten now.

I am not sure it’s available on 718s anymore, is it? They deleted it on 2022s bc of supply chain stuff but I’m not sure they ever brought it back.

Yeah I think one thing Porsche learned during the pandemic is that they can charge even more for less

Yes… Did you read the first three letters in my post or read the dealer’s comments on the first pic I attached or clicked on the link and read the color on this Porsche dealer’s online listing?

It's hidden under Steering Wheel and Gearshift Lever/Selector
