Congrats, as good as any Porsche sounds, I think they sound even better with the top down!

I'll have learn to live with a 'vert. Feel some squeaks and twists that I know I wouldn't feel in a 911/cayman coupe. That said, did a nice inaugural country drive and there is a pleasure that the open top brings that 911/cayman don't. Those cars are all about being a rocket for the most part.

I still cannot believe how lucky I got on specs and previous owner (a lovable eccentric). 4k & 8k services done, in perfect shape at 8.4k miles.
You'll get used to living with a vert, once you drop the top, you won't regret it

Enjoy ...

PS: i didn't even know you had an S4, i need to keep up.

Thanks, everyone. From delivery immediately did a spring drive in western NJ, the rain let up, the top was down and it was a different experience. It's easy to get jaded, I get there often. But it is important that I (and most of us) are very lucky to enjoy moments off and such special machines. This was one of those.

Similar color combo as on the 2004 550 spyder... except I think those had black roofs and dark brown/maroon interiors.
GT4 sold at the end of the year. I already like this car better for my purposes. Gf absolutely loves it. The lower price and the sweet trade-in were the cherries on top.

It is similar to the 550 edition, I thought the same. It is also similar (but not identical to) the 981 launch spec. The 550's were gt silver with full cocoa leather (I do prefer my brick red/burgundy better, more classic, but it doesn't photograph too well). I remember lusting after the 550's the summer of 2004, the first year I "got into" cars. Stickers were sky high, low-60's which was insane back then. I ended up with a used 996.. This was 1-2 years before I found 'mudgeons.

Awesome, congrats. Hopefully you become a 'vert guy and absolutely love the nice weather days with the top down. There are definitely trade offs with a soft top, but I think the benefits far outweigh the squeaks, twists and rattles,
