I'm too lazy to look up listing or charts, but I wonder what has been the biggest bid at BAT

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...ari-365-gtb-3/

big bucks, considering it is not original

Just guessing right now RNM.

I just think the owner believes it is worth way more than market will bid

Those E38's were everywhere around here 15-20 years ago. I can't believe how few I see now - hardly any at all. I also see very few newer 7er's but that's another issue.

Wow - that car probably has tens of thousands worth of mods. They even retrofitted an idrive system. For 6k it’s pretty tempting

I have zero interest, but kinda curious what this will bring. I always thought they were really good for what they were: really cheap and really fun for people that wanted fun cars for really cheap. Just not enough go to justify anything more than really cheap.

That thing has some issues. Clearly it's been repainted very recently, and not well. The usual reason to do that is to hide something. Probably lots of rot and Bondo. The hood had been replaced, too, and the misaligned headlight suggests front end accident.

Already priced above what I would pay, but this is an exact copy of the very first car I ever rented in Germany. The one I rented was almost brand new (had 600 kilometers on it) After an hour on the autobahn we stopped, and I could smell stuff burning off the new engine and exhaust. We also had a yellow one with about 3000 kilometers , also almost brand new. Rented both for 3 weeks, visited 7 or 8 countries with it. The Jukes had rented a tour bus, these were the crew vehicles.
