Being I have a son with a pretty fast car (the 340i) whenever he follows me I always make it a point to drive really calm ... the last thing I want him doing is racing me ... in fact the only thought I have is how can I make sure when we need to shift lanes there is enough room for him to do it as well.
Though that is another story, I taught my kids when following someone the person in front puts the blinker on and when it's safe the person in back gets into the lane first so that the front car can then move in safely. Last edited by Alan; 12-03-2019 at 08:40 PM. |

And why don't people in the trail position switch preemptively when they know it's going to need to be done?

She did have a habit of sometimes following me too closely . . .when we got rid of our 2008 Rabbit, there were about 200+ rock chips in the paint
