So, at that point, do they just figure the Ferrari is "totaled"? I'm not sure who would want to buy a $200k+ car that had been dropped out the back of a truck.

Well, I'm sure somebody would but what does that do to the resale value of the car?

I would think it is totalled. Especially being a mid-engined car. My guess is that there is several tens of thousands of dollars in parts and labor to repair a car to a point where, given the brand, an intelligent buyer would demand a VERY steep discount.

I think it is worth much more in parts. I woud think after the accident, anyone who pays more than ~1/3 MSRP for it "as is" is asking for lots of trouble.
