Cars for kids

It's a shame about the Chevy Bolts exploding, as I was kind of considering it a possibility for my son:

I am also slightly intrigued by a used i3 (another silly betwixt and between car).

Good attitude. I did not have my first car until second year of college, and I paid for half of it. My dad got tired of driving me back and forth for the school year. (About 12-13 hours round trip.)

Those both sound like appropriate cars for a new driver.
