I think this whole "bubble car" thing just drives me a bit crazy. What's the point? Cars were built to be driven. Where's the joy in owning something you can't drive? I've never owned a car, sold it, and thought, "Man, I wish I hadn't put so many miles on that car."

I don’t understand it either, particularly with these “special” American cars, like grand nationals and corvettes and whatnot.

But I’m actually kind of glad there are these weirdos that do it, because it’s kind of neat to see a 30 year old new car.

I think this goes back to the concept of having “fuck you” money. Without that, I’d want to drive whatever I bought.

I have a story in there about the time I went over to see an E9 for sale up east of Vancouver with my friend.... said friend has an M1.

Every so often I search BaT for 1988 M3, then check their VINs to see if anyone’s selling my old car. No hits yet.
