Am i naive to think that lessons would be imparted from the MoSport program at Corvette Racing, with regard to engine durability?

The differences, at least from that angle, seem pretty subtle. I'm sure it strikes a more dramatic difference in real life, but I'm not sure I'm feeling much here one way or another.

Please just compare the side air intakes. They are different enough whereas on the OG C8 it looks….I dunno.

But on the Z06 they are more symmetrical. Suits the eye better, IMO

Yeah the rear of the car is much more aggro. I dig it.

I see some very subtle differences, but just enough to note they're not teh same. Not enough to change my thoughts, reactions, feelings, whatever.

It looks pretty obviously different to me, but I've stared at the C8 a lot. For the record I think the base car looks a lot better in person but the rear 3/4 view is really goofy. Something about the wheels being too small, the rear being too narrow, and the extended area between the end passenger compartment and the end of the car being too large.

The wheels on the base Corvette aren’t just too small; the offset makes them look like econocar FWD rims.

Side by side those pics make it clear the Z06 has fender flares and some dish on the wheels, which improves the look about 1000 percent.

The shape of the intake is also different, which is good because the base car is real bad. The Z06 is…better, but I could do without that black horizontal strake.

And yeah, the cars ass is comically big, which I guess is good for golfing.

Yeah, not a single one of the base car's wheel options are remotely acceptable for a car of this caliber.

I think the strake is a bit much (keeping in the theme of "It's a Corvette") but the Z06 version doesn't bother me. The front splitter / chin spoiler on the Z06 also gets rid of the overbite the base car has. And the front fender flares are really nicely done.

I saw a tractor trailer full of new corvettes while driving to Nashville.

All of them were completely covered for transport so I have no idea how they looked

Thank you, JV. It is the overbite which bother me.

The black side boomerang thingy “accentuating” the air intakes can probably also be color matched as an option.
